“Fitness is not about being better than someone else…It’s about being better than you used to be”
We at FBAI believe that we should and we need to balance the love for food with fitness, after all being fit is also very important. For this we organize the FBAI Fitness once a month to spread awareness about the need to have a balance in our life’s.
We organized a unique fitness activity called the Aerial Skills. We focused on Anti-Gravity Yoga which was a part of aerial skills. We had Lara Saluja as our instructor who specializes in it and the session was conducted at Tangerine Arts Studio, Bandra.
Along with it being unique and different it is also beneficial. The benefits of the Anti-Gravity Yoga/Ariel Yoga includes:
Aerial yoga defies gravity and allows you to perform various yoga poses that may be difficult to do on the ground, but easier in mid-air. Suspended yoga strengthens core muscles and increases spinal and shoulder flexibility.
This activity is for the development of strength and if done with the help of sheets hanging from the ceiling it surely turns out to be a total body workout.
We all had so much fun doing it. It was really good to see that everyone was making efforts to try it once. There were few of us who were quickly able to figure out the right way to do it.
After making our Sunday filled with learning this new kind of fitness skill we went in to enjoying the Meal Box from Indizza.
Indizza – The Delivery Kitchen is a startup that cooks up North Indian delicacies in Mumbai. Quality of their ingredients and taste of the food are the heart of this delivery kitchen, which caters into savoring their customer’s taste buds. The meal served to us were a veg/nonveg started, main course that included the biryani and a refreshment.
Our meal box consisted of Panner Tikka, Aloo Achari, Veg Hariyali Kebab, Shahjanu Biryani and Pudina Nimbu Pani in veg and in non-veg Basil Chicken Tikka, Chicken Paprika, Mutton Seekh Kebab and Chicken Tikka Biryani, along with Pudina Nimbu Pani.
Everything was just phenomenal, very aromatic not just the food but even the raita and chutney.The Pudina Nimbu Pani was very refreshing and prefect for hydrating after the workout. Even the packing was really great as well leak proof.
In the end, we had altogether a great Sunday with balancing our fitness with delicious food.
