SOL trips, a boutique travel company and Le Cordon Bleu Paris, renowned culinary and hospitality institute, in collaboration with Atout France – France Tourism Development Agency, recently hosted a high-tea at Le 15 Café Colaba, Mumbai, to acquaint attendees with the Patisserie Workshop at Le Cordon Bleu (LCB) in Paris. SOL trips has launched a 3-day itinerary for home bakers and professionals, to discover the world of French patisserie at the emblematic LCB.

The high-tea began with Ms. Pooja Dhingra, owner of Le 15 Café Colaba, and notable alumina of LCB, describing the programme as an opportunity to experience the Parisian way of living, and administer the discipline, recipes and techniques that are taught by the Chefs in the LCB kitchen. Others present during the evening were Ms. Bhargavi Prajapati, Owner, SOL trips, Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Hub Manager, India Subcontinent, Le Cordon Bleu, Ms. Sheetal Munshaw, Director, Atout France India, and Ms. Sona Bahadur, winner of the partial scholarship towards the Hautes Études du Goût (HEG) programme at LCB.


Over a session of tea and tartines, the bloggers, participants of the programme as well as the enthusiastic home bakers as they received information on the Parisian patisserie. The objective of this initiative was to bring together those with basic pastry-making skills, either home bakers, or entrepreneurs, who essentially want to add a bit of finesse to their patisserie-making techniques, and also learn how to prepare iconic French desserts, explained Bhargavi Prajapati, Owner, SOL trips.
