Amira Rice with Chef Ripu Handa



It was Pleasure to meet Chef Ripu at the “Annapoorna – World of Food India 2016” at the Amira Stall.

Chef Ripu Daman Handa the celebrity Master Chef winner made a delicious Wangi Bhat with Amira Long grain Basmati Rice (Brinjal & Rice preparation).
Here’s from the Amira table a range of Basmati Rice namely – Long Grain Basmati Rice , Natural Basmati rice ,Natural Thai Jasmine Rice,Smoked Basmati Rice & for the Health Conscious there is also Natural Brown Basmati Rice.brinjal-rice-is-ready-to-eat

In the interaction Chef Ripu mentioned that traditionally Basmati rice is primarily used for Biryani’s , Pulao or just Rajma rice or desserts like Kheer & Phirni. But Chef in his restaurant In Navi Mumbai uses Amira Basmati rice to prepare “Risotto”. img_8109

The products are well tested and accepted but its price is higher than the regular Basmati rice of other known brands.
But Chef says Amira Basmati Rice when cooked leaves a distinct taste of the grain and being long grain its presentation is super…..
